Typically, though not always, it depends on where you post OP. Here is the link to the fix I used that brought the game back to normalĪnd in the future players do NOT just assume that when someone complains that the game seems not to be working right, do not say "Learn to play the game." The forum is here to see if someone else has a real answer to a problem or has the same issues so it might be brought to WG's attention.
If you seem to have this same issue but unable to understand why I recommend to try this fix. Changing the compatibility changed the game back to how I was doing. Suddenly I noticed and increase in my hits and a big increase in damage, etc etc. I did as the fix said and started playing again. While in the course of this ticket, I found the fix for the freezing of the computer in the trouble shooter pages, which had me make the game compatible with Win 8. I posted a ticket to WG about this and they stated nothing in the patch should be affecting the game as I described. I basically got trolled by the players that "I just needed to learn the game."
After A bit I posted in this forum of my concern and that it must have something to do with WG's last patch. I was having the issue that when I closed the game it always froze my computer with a black screen. Over time I realised that I was not play at the level I had been a few weeks earlier. Ships would disappear even when a spotter ship would be with in 6 km of the ship. I was NOT getting any citadel hits at all. I noticed a drop in shells that hit and at times when shooting at 5km I would do ZERO damage to the target. Seems I could not hit targets past 12 km very well as I had been in the past.
I was having a real bad string of battles. I play Wow 2 to 4 times a week, so maybe I put in 4 to 7 hours per week. Minecraft for example suddenly got laggy an issue I never had before. Since the last Windows 10 update I had noticed that quite a few games were having problems.
I do not play every day as such it took a while for me to realise there was a problem.
